YA!!
I have to say that I'm so relieved that Prop 8 passed. It was one of the biggest reasons that I wanted to register to vote here. I've gotten alot of slack about wanting to vote that way, but it was worth it. I don't want my children to be taught in our schools beliefs that go completly against all I believe in. I am so thankful that it passed and it's no longer a worry to carry around.
We're getting settled in here well. Kaila really likes her new school. When asked how it's going she says, "it's AWESOME!" She really likes her teacher too. She was never this excited about school in Utah, so its a blessing.
Isaac still isn't in school and that's been rough, but we found a free reading time at the library for him once a week. They read to the kids and then do a craft. There's also one I can do on Friday with Alyssa. The nice thing is they can both go to each others.
Ben is doing well as school. He's already speaking the language and passing the tests. I think the stress is easing off a bit. He makes it all look so easy. I'm amazed at how quickly things seem to come to him. It's not fare for people like me who have to work really, really hard to get good grades. He's really doing well and I'm proud of him.
That's about all of the update on our family so far. I'd love to hear from any of you reading this. Get in touch sometime. I could use some friends. Love, Yolanda
