Here's what 171 dollars looks like. So deserved or not, I got a $171 ticket today!! For what? "Rolling" through a stop sign. Gotta say, CALIFORNIA, do you have enough stop signs here? Holy heck, it's like a stop sign on every corner. EVERY corner. Do they not believe in traffic lights, or I don't know... not congesting everything to one spot so that you have to stop every 5 feet? What the heck is up with these huge ticket costs too? I've only ever gotten one other ticket in my whole driving life, and that was cheap compared to here. Here they seem to be accustomed to a certain life style, known as the Rich and uniformed officers. They drive suv's for heavens sakes. Who drives suv's to chase criminals? Have they not seen the cost of gas? I guess with ticket prices this astronomical, cost of tickets go to support their life style. Ben is definitely in the wrong profession. Who evers on the receiving end of the money is rich. (In case your reading this and maybe don't get my sense of humor, I mean this to be sarcastic and funny. I mean every word of it, but I don't dispute the ticket.) I didn't stop completely. I roll to a stop, almost come to a complete stop and then go if there's no cars. Lesson learned. Expensive lesson, but it's learned. Thanks California cops. Enjoy my hard earned money. A special shout out to Officer Davis, without whom, this particular rant wouldn't of been possible.

Another strike against CA

My dear Yolanda, I am so proud of YOU!! You did what any resident of CA would call a "California stop". We are famous for those. Don't be surprised about the ticket costs there either. Be sure to re register your car on time, while in CA cause for every day past your registration due dates, they tag on more fees if you don't register the car in tme.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a pricey little ticket! Glad you learned your lesson :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so fun to see. It is fun for me to be able to show Lincoln "his friend Isaac's" house, etc. I'm glad that Kaila is doing so well in school - and I am glad that she has a good teacher that you like. A good teacher can make all the difference in the WORLD.
Ben sounds busy, and you sound like you are doing well, but a bit lonely! :( Hopefully you are liking your new ward and everything. How far away do you have to go to get to your ward?
What is the weather like there? It has been quite cold here. Snow the other day. I am envious of anyone who still has nice weather. I wish that it only snowed in December here.
If you are still wondering on the radio mix thing, you have to go back into playlist.com and log in, make your changes, and then create a new code which you will copy and paste into your current one. Probably doesnt make much sense, but play around and I'm sure you will get it. :)
By the way - our blog address is
