Yesterday we went to the library to see if we could get the aquarium passes. We DID IT! We got two passes. So we went to the aquarium and it was such a blast. The kids got to pet sting rays, touch star fish, look at sharks and stand under a wave and see how it looks. It was the funnest thing, Alyssa was looking up when the wave came over us and she closed her eyes and braced for the impact. When nothing hit us she opened her eyes up in complete surprise. She had an audience and made them all laugh. It was so precious.
After the aquarium we decided that we were hungry. Ben thought it would be interesting if we tried a Persian restaurant. We found one and it was absolutely amazing. The food was so delicious. The kids enjoyed the food too. Ask Kaila what her favorite part was and she'll tell you "the belly dancer." Yup, they had a belly dancer. It was so fun to watch her. It's amazing how she can move the way that she does. The kids got to give her a dollar that they stuck in the waist of her costume, but Isaac chickened out at the last minute and dad had to do it. Imagine how hard that had to be for him. Poor guy turned bright red. We really had a good time yesterday. Hope you are all doing well.
Oh, I miss the Monterrey Aquarium!! You are making me nostalgic for my childhood. Dad used to always take us there as kids. I love that place
ReplyDeleteIt was really a blast. Its so big. I think you'd have to go several times beforeyou could see everything. Thanks to the free passes we should be able to go alot. Maybe you can come out to visit and show us some hot spots. That would be way fun.
